With things in life that we can't control and can't change in an instant, it's very tempting to talk very unkindly to ourselves. That's normal just because we have a brain. But that doesn't mean that we have to keep the unkindness for long. That won't help anyone and definitely won't help yourself get out the situation (like lose weight) any faster, actually it perpetuates the negative cycle. We have to be kind to ourselves.
