Howard Thurman so beautifully wrote “Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” Coming ALIVE. That, my friends, is what Self-Worth is all about. But what does it mean to come alive? It means to awaken to the power of who you really are. To increase your fear threshold. To flow in joy. To have healthy boundaries and relationships. To pursue your limitless potential even when the going gets tough. And to live in a way that expresses the message your soul came here to share. In this podcast, we will explore what it means to come alive through the vehicle of self-worth. And within that vehicle of self-worth, we will talk about self-image, spirituality, style, surroundings and so much more. In the words of my favorite author, Paulo Coehlo: “All you have to do is to pay attention; lessons always arrive when you are ready, and if you can read the signs, you will learn everything you need to know in order to take the next step.” My heart in every podcast episode of Self-Worth is to shine a light on that next step. One at a time. I'm so glad you're here. Let's begin.

LBM: The Squirrel Story & Facing the Reality of Death

April 08, 2020 10:00 - 6 minutes - 4.41 MB

There is no beating around the bush - this is an extremely tough week here in the US. It's important to me to be honest, but also do my best to provide hope. This episode centers around a story about a little squirrel and it wraps with my belief around death. Life is a loop, not a line, and I believe that death is not an ending, but a beginning. I love you all. Support the show

15. What Does Self Sabotage Feel Like?

April 06, 2020 10:00 - 25 minutes - 17.6 MB

Why do we break our own promises? Why do we make certain decisions knowing full well the consequences will be negative? In today’s episode, I’m diving into the definition of self-sabotage (something that we all struggle with at times), a myriad of ways (some that will surprise you) it shows up in our lives, and some tools to help us recognize when we are on the verge of self-sabotage to, hopefully, conquer it in the moment it emerges.

When The Rug Has Been Pulled Out From Under You

March 30, 2020 10:00 - 30 minutes - 21 MB

In the midst of an international pandemic, is it possible to feel grounded? To create a new, healthy normal? This episode deconstructs why I’ve been so distraught about the coronavirus, but also why I am choosing to move forward in the healthiest way I know how. I choose not to let fear take the wheel of my car, and I hope you’ll join me. :) Support the show

March 16, 2020 10:00 - 31 minutes - 21.5 MB

Is your desire to be seen as perfect holding you back? For me, my perfectionism has thwarted much of my life. In today’s episode, I’m sharing why I think perfectionism is toxic and insidious and why “perfect” was never cool in the first place. Now more than ever, people crave connection, and connection is cultivated through authenticity - not through a facade of perfection.

10. What Does Believing In Yourself Feel Like?

March 09, 2020 10:00 - 20 minutes - 13.9 MB

What if we actually OWNED our worth? What if we stopped second guessing ourselves around every corner? What if self belief was our default instead of our exception? Today’s episode of Self Discovery dives into what believing in yourself feels like. As someone who loves tangible, real, black and white advice, I realized that the phrase “believe in yourself” really falls short for me. I wanted to know what it meant in action on a daily basis so I could armor up in the real world. So, that my f...

Moving Toward Minimalism to Combat Anxiety

February 24, 2020 11:00 - 14 minutes - 9.67 MB

We were born into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing, so I think the more I simplify my life and move toward minimalism, the more in tune I feel with who I REALLY am… it makes space for my desires to shine through, my conscience to be light, and my bank account to be a little heavier. February 19, 2020 11:00 - 24 minutes - 17.1 MB

For some, healing from pain and trauma can feel like an impossible task. In today’s episode, I touch on what, in my experience, really prolonged my own suffering, and outline what, in my experience, was a dramatic catalyst for my healing. "The more conscious we become, the more we will be called to heal from what is preventing our growth.”

Q+A - Is Chasing Happiness Dangerous?

February 12, 2020 11:00 - 16 minutes - 11.5 MB

We are conditioned to believe that happiness is something we should be striving for and working toward in all our decisions. The subliminal messages are everywhere. They exude that if we just do this… we’ll be happy. Or if we just make X amount of money… we’ll be happy. Or if we just buy this face cream or these sneakers or this house or this car or this super expensive vague supplement… then we will be happy. But is this right? Or is this just setting us up to keep spinning on a hamster whe...

Emotional Trauma, PTSD, & What Led Me to Start This Podcast

February 05, 2020 11:00 - 44 minutes - 31 MB

For most of my life, I have minimized and dehumanized my trauma by comparing my experiences with others. I never gave myself permission to feel my own pain because I didn't feel like it was "bad enough" or "worthy enough" to be addressed. As women in Western society, we are taught that our emotions are too much. We're told that we are over sensitive, over complicated, and over dramatic, yet we are also expected to be self sacrificing (in every way) and never ever complain about it. (HUH?!?!?...
