Over the weekend something happened that put me in a total spin. Well, for about fifteen minutes...You see, I'd planned a weekend away. A weekend without children, without agenda. June 22, 2020 08:40 - 15 minutes - 10.5 MB

I'm done with the idea that we must sacrifice all for the people around us, at a massive cost to our health and wellbeing. In this episode I share why I hate the word 'selfish' and why you should banish it from your vocabulary!Links:The Conversations With Lisa playlistContinue the conv...

May 04, 2020 20:00 - 17 minutes - 12.3 MB

We're still knee-deep in shutdown mode, so the kids and I have been shaking things up to inject some fun into our evenings... and absolutely loving the switch-up.Which got me thinking:... Why have we all bought into the idea that bath / dinner / bed is the "right" way to do night times (especially if it's not working for you and your family)?... Who wrote the rules about what our lives are "supposed" to look like?... And what other areas of our lives are we subconsciously following these "rul...

February 06, 2020 19:00 - 15 minutes - 14.5 MB

You don't have to wait for your circumstances to change in order to feel good. Those stories of your life, everything that you believe to be true. The stories informing everything that you do. CwL Ep 5: I'm Still Standing - A conversation on honouring rest

December 23, 2019 19:00 - 23 minutes - 16 MB

Bringing this episode to life is Elton John's I'm Still Standing. It's obviously a timeless classic, but the meaning for me has changed over the years. I used to sing along and think "But how?? How am I still standing with all of this going on?" I relied on my high-functioning tendencies and my ability to 'push through' and thought that I was doing okay. Ummm... thanks, shingles, for letting me know that I definitely wasn't okay! So pushing through is not the message of this episode. These day...
