Rejuvenaging with Dr. Ron Kaiser

232 episodes - English - Latest episode: about 1 month ago - ★★★★★ - 1.4K ratings

This is the podcast for two types of people: those who embrace the aging process and are going through it enthusiastically; and those younger people who want to develop the proper mindset and habits that will enable them to age awesomely when that time arrives.

REJUVENAGING is the art and science of growing older with enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is one of the most under-rated of emotions. It is the driver that

activates passion, proactivity, and a positive mindset.

The REJUVENAGING podcast focuses on developing the skills and behaviors that lead to enhanced physical and mental health throughout the lifespan. The podcast features guests from various walks of life with varying perspectives but with the common purpose of living enthusiastically and helping others to do so. Guests are interviewed by positive health psychologist and author, Dr. Ron Kaiser. One of his claims to fame is that he has failed miserably at being a typical old guy. At age 81, he works full-time and stays fit – physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. He shares his secrets and guidance in this regard – both in his interactions with his guests in personal training podcasts that take place once a month.

Listen to the REJUVENAGING Podcast; get in touch with your awesomeness; and learn to maintain positive balance in your life. It’s never too early or too late to start

Taking Our Brain for a Walk into Scary Places with Richard Friesen

April 13, 2021 09:00 - 42 minutes - 48.9 MB

There have been cultural changes regarding money and wealth; somehow, we've created this idea of a lot of money concentrated in a few people's hands that don't deserve it. Wealth distribution is unfair, there's no doubt about it, and it motivated the appearance of trends like "Tax the rich" or "Eat the rich." But it also created a false sense that it is wrong to be wealthy, regardless, and as a society, we've internalized a mantra that, at the end of the day, stops us from going out there an...

Escaping your Self-Imposed Mental Prison with Robert Althuis

April 06, 2021 09:00 - 34 minutes - 39.3 MB

Success is often linked with money. When we think that money is what most of the world's population lacks, it is understandable where that idea comes from. However, the story of the sad millionaire is real. People who have it all and yet, can't fill the vast void in their souls. Wealth is not necessarily a bad thing; it is just an amplifier. Whatever feeling dominates, our essence will be there regardless of the number our bank account displays. Joining me today is Robert Althuis, Spiritual...

Growing the Confidence and Self-Esteem Muscle with Nate Palmer

March 30, 2021 09:00 - 32 minutes - 74.1 MB

Computers and electronic devices brought countless advantages to the world, making human life easier in a lot of ways. A big part of the modern world was built by people seated behind a desk facing a monitor, and most jobs nowadays require long hours sitting in front of a screen. In addition to this established work style, the society of the spectacle we live in requires a passive attitude from the audience, comfortably seated on a couch. The negative side of a comfortable and entertaining l...

March 23, 2021 10:00 - 32 minutes - 29.8 MB

Having a happy, meaningful life is what all of us are after, but still, it is something not everyone seems to attain. We might have a successful professional or academic life, yet happiness could be elusive to us. It could be because we are doing what is expected from us - whether it would be fulfilling our parents, siblings, or partner's expectations - and ignoring our needs and wants. It is like wearing the shoes they expect us to wear. The first step towards our happiness is asking every ...

The Man With a Toolbox to Fix Time with Trevor Lohrbeer

March 16, 2021 10:00 - 37 minutes - 51.2 MB

Working from home taught us several things and one of them, no doubt, is that we were wrong if we thought that spending more time in the house will let us complete all our projects. Many of us struggle to achieve personal and professional plans, even when we barely leave the house. The problem is not the number of hours we have but how we use them. Still, the solution is in our hands, and it requires little effort, consistency, and self-awareness: time management.  Joining me today is Trevo...

Resilience Turns Us Into Our Own Salvation Army with Carolyn Colleen

March 09, 2021 11:00 - 30 minutes - 42.6 MB

Early experiences in life leave a mark on us, whether they are harmful or not, and while those marks will be a part of ourselves, they don't necessarily define who we are and who we will become. We can't handle our emotional response to abuse or aggression, but what we can do is to use that emotion in our favor, harness that emotion, and turn it into a positive outcome for our lives.  Today, I chat with the inspiring Carolyn Colleen; she is a renowned keynote speaker, author, corporate lead...

Answering The Call Of Our Inner Wisdom with Roy Cook

February 23, 2021 11:00 - 33 minutes - 46.4 MB

Although all of us have goals, we can't reach them quite often, or we do it after a long and suffering journey. We might read about dozens of exciting techniques or approaches to accomplish our objectives, and still, some of them work perfectly, some of them don't, or they will work for others and not for us. The answer resides there, in the difference between people. A goal will be easier to achieve if it is consistent with our core values; it must be aligned with who we are, with how we se...

Not All Heroes Wear Capes, This One Wears A Smile with Lisa David Olson

February 16, 2021 11:00 - 40 minutes - 56.1 MB

A lot has been said and written about humor. There are doubts about whether comedy can be translated or not, and nowadays, we see debates about what is appropriate to laugh about and what it is not. Leaving the controversies aside, we can confirm that joy and laughter is a connector and can go through age, ethnic, and language barriers. And in many cases, it can save lives.  Today, joining me is Lisa David Olson; she is a speaker, podcaster, author, creative mentor, and comedian. We had a s...

The Gardener Who Planted Money Seeds with Dr. John Soforic

Most books about finances describe 9 to 5 jobs as prisons, as the rat race, as finance freedom's first enemy. But what about meaning? September 08, 2020 10:00 - 36 minutes - 33.6 MB

Mostly all of us currently are - or have been - in the note space through our debts and loans, so it only makes sense that we’d have an interest in learning about a way in which a third party would help us pay them back. Prevention is Always The Better Way

June 09, 2020 10:00 - 12 minutes - 11.1 MB

Most often than not, as a species, we tend to react to crises rather than prevent them. For example, think of the pandemic that we’re going through. This was definitely something that we didn’t prepare for. Of course, like in any other situation, we found ways to deal with it and we’re still making progress in terms of coming up with solutions to keep everyone safe. But imagine how easier it would have been for all of us if the hospital personal had better protective equipment or the necessa...

Getting motivated and focused on chasing your dreams and purpose – even though they might change with time – is really the key to a balanced life. We only have a limited time on this earth and it matters how we spend it. Dedicating eight hours per day to something we don’t enjoy doing dr...

April 21, 2020 10:00 - 13 minutes - 12.5 MB

Loneliness, especially in the older age ranges, is right up there with a sedentary lifestyle, smoking, and obesity, in terms of being a killer. Now, more than ever, we need to be socially connected despite the physical distancing, and we have to be in touch with our family and friends to let them know that they are not alone. Today, I’m tackling a subject that I noticed is becoming more prevalent among my clients – losing the connection with the outside world, especially with the ones clos...

April 14, 2020 10:00 - 31 minutes - 29.2 MB

When we think of sales, we often picture a person coming to our doorstep promoting their product or a car dealership employee that tries to trick us into buying a car we don’t need because he’s working on commission. This is one of the reasons why many people try to avoid this industry. But sales means helping other people get what they want, and the truth is that it is not a business skill, it’s actually a life skill that we all practice whether we realize it or not. In today’s episode, w...
