“Winning is easy, but losing is a separator.” That is a powerful quote from Michael Burns as he shares the lessons he took away from every loss and difficult circumstance that came his way. When we feel like we are winning in life, it is easy to see what is going well, but it is the losses and hard times that give us the lessons. Pain and failure can be such gifts if we allow them to be. They illuminate what needs our attention and can hand us a powerful purpose if we take the time to reflect, be aware, and go inward.

Michael Burns is a real estate investor and has flipped over 40 properties in a year. He’s the Founder of Lifestyle Lending Mortgages and The Burnz Team real estate companies, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also the host of the podcast, Freedom Lifestyle Experience. Michael endured being told “no” 94 times before his first real estate offer was accepted. He is an example of true perseverance and the incredible things that can happen when you bet on yourself and keep pushing.

In this episode of Alison Answers Mission Awake Podcast, Michael takes through his upbringing and where he learned his value system, to how he achieved $2 million dollars at his first sales job all because someone told him they believed in him. Michael learned the power of identifying the unhelpful patterns in his life to overcome his limiting beliefs and become the best version of himself. Michael provides very valuable advice on how to get through painful or challenging times and turn them into gold. He has realized that all too often, people treat the smoke in their lives instead of getting to the root of the actual fire, so the patterns and cycles continue. Michael has so much insight and wisdom that this was a 2-hour conversation split into 2 separate parts. Make sure to tune in next week for part 2 with Michael Burns.
