If today is your birthday,

Or even if it’s not,

I invite you to honor yourself, 

Because you deserve a lot. 

PAUSE…

So find a place of comfort, 

And allow yourself to calm. 

The soothing rhythms within you,

Soften from toe to palm. 

PAUSE…

See if you can imagine, 

A beaming flood of light,

Pouring over your body,

It relaxes and delights. 

PAUSE…

Breathe…

And bring yourself inside. 

Breathe…

Fill yourself with pride. 

Today we pause to honor,

The person that you are,

The journey you have taken, 

Has brought you oh so far. 

PAUSE…

The ups and the downs, 

And everything in between. 

Sweet one, you’ve evolved,

Into a luminous queen. 

PAUSE…

The lessons from the failures,

And pain from all the no’s,

Have made you quite resilient,

Kept you light upon your toes. 

PAUSE…

The people that have loved you,

And those that you’ve held dear.

Have forced your heart to open,

And expand your love past fear. 

PAUSE…

Think about the gal you were,

Just one year ago. 

She’s become so much wiser now, 

The year has grown her glow. 

PAUSE…

You may not be where you want,

You may have shifts to make. 

That’s part of what makes you you,

Always growing for your own sake.

So on this special day,

Feel the love within you burst. 

There’s no one just like you,

In this entire Universe.
