Assistant District Attorney, Evelina Rene shares her experience of moving from St. Thomas to New Jersey for a three-year accelerated program at Seton Hall University. In pursuit of her goal to become an attorney, Evelina attended law school at The George Washington (GW) University. During her time at GW, Evelina studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England. On this episode she breaks down aspects of law school including the admissions process, negotiating scholarships, and preparing for the bar. While her accomplishments are beyond impressive, Evelina is still becoming and experiences challenges of her own. We have a candid conversation about her growing pains and how she remains motivated. She reminds herself, “Whatever doesn’t kill me, will make me stronger.”
