Welcome to the TeachStrong Podcast.

Today I’m joined by Niomi Clyde-Roberts. Niomi is an assistant headteacher and author of the book “The Emotionally Intelligent Teacher”. The book is described as a “unique guide to managing your emotions in order to enhance your teaching, boost your wellbeing, and combat power struggles in schools”.

We take a deep dive into the role emotional intelligence plays in teaching and leadership.

This is an open and honest conversation about our experiences in schools and the experiences of others. Perhaps this will resonate with you, and Niomi and I hope that this episode can be a source of inspiration as well as guidance for anyone who is finding things difficult in school.

During our chat we find out more about Niomi’s journey to writing the book, the various case studies that are included, and I ask her to give the TeachStrong audience some of the key takeaways.

Enjoy the conversation.
