Welcome back to Serving it HOT! Today, I'm excited to share my chat with counselor, coach, and educator Karen Hochheiser. In her work, she utilizes a collaborative approach to care in order to support the whole person. Karen's trajectory — from coach to now training as a mental health counselor — has been a little different from what we normally see in this space, and she brings a unique perspective to her experiences with READY.

Tune in to hear all about:

Why she joined the program, and how she sees the work fitting in with her future Her thoughts on the benefits of supervision in the coaching space Her favorite thing she learned while in the READY program

"This is the third coach training program I've been through and I haven't had one with this amount of one-on-one time built into the program. It's something that I've been used to from the counseling perspective, meeting with a supervisor. So it's been really nice to have that added to process what comes up in the group. Also, I appreciate about the space too, is that you leave it open to whatever it is that we're going through or dealing with. It's been a space where I've been able to talk through some of the ways that things have showed up for me, day-to-day and in my work."

Karen, thank you again for sharing your experiences and perspective on the show today! You make it so clear that READY is for folks across a wide variety of backgrounds, and in many  different professions.
