Getting lean has become every Instagrammers dream but, Why have they became fashionable?

Mike & Byron start off by identifying the body fat % markers that can be used to display abs in men and women.

We then take a look back into the icons of our time, delving back into the men and women considered to have the best physiques and in some cases starlike sex appeal.

These icons of the movies such as Marilyn Monroe and Charlton Heston were known for their sex appeal and captivated the attention of millions of people worldwide, but they DID NOT have by today's standards the "beach body" look. Heston, Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore and many more exhibited a natural hairy chest in their movies, something that wouldn't be fashionable in today's standards.

Monroe, Raquel Welch and Joan Collins to name a few appeared in swim wear in numerous photoshoots and some movies, again they had natural curves, but which by modelling standards of recent times would potentially place them into an overweight category.

We explore the time line and relevance of six pack abs and when we believe they became a measurement of gym "success" vs the natural physiques we mentioned of the stars of the sixties and before.

We look at the pros and cons of six pack abs and YES we absolutely explain our approach to working with natural (drug free) clients who want to develop this kind of physique and our preferred strategy for guiding them step by step.

*Note, that in many cases the order you think you should diet, train or add weight may not be correct in some instances, we also explore these kinds of cases whereupon a person might need to GAIN weight to truly develop the six pack abs.

We talk about the detail of bulking (controlled weight gain) and managing that with the timing of cutting (planned dieting for fat loss) and how our approach to exercise ultimately results in a toned athletic physique, that also provides true health for the person in an achievable body fat % range, with all the perks of not having done crash weight loss or punishing gym routines.

Our method is a sustainable long-term approach, that is designed to serve people for the rest of their lives, whichever decade of life they are currently in.

We navigate around some of the pitfalls of crash weight loss, pills and potions and avoiding getting sucked into the social media trend to display results achieved with drugs that are not practical or achievable naturally.
