In Autumn 2019 Mike asked Byron to investigate the clinical studies and literature behind links to physical activity and cognitive benefits such as reducing day-to-day psychological stress.

These evidence based findings where presented in our health and wellbeing talk on managing day today stress, where we were joined by co-presenter Garry Coles MSc.

It was our most well attended talk at Profound Fitness to date and this podcast goes into greater detail into the clinical findings; whereupon we explain the most useful points uncovered by a selection of the studies spanning back 40 years.

** IMPORTANT** for those people currently receiving treatment and managing psychological conditions you should always consult with your medical provider (doctor) before starting physical activity or discontinuing any medications.

The overall findings where very positive for being physically active and reducing symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression.

By the end of the podcast you'll have a clear picture of different exercise forms that can be of use, as well as how much and how often they could be used to generate a benefit when it comes to reducing stress, anxiety and depression.

Mike also details info about the use of exercise when working with clients who have Parkinson's disease.

Much of the talk was geared towards managing day to day stress and particularly applies to business professionals.

We are available to bring this talk to your workplace, group or society and you can contact us below for more information.
