Eating disorders have gone up significantly over the past couple of years and are affecting all genders, races, ethnicities, ages and socio-economic groups. Getting the right help as early as possible is so important.

Our special guest today has so much information to share with us that parents and teens can learn about eating disorders and behaviors to look out for.

Shital Patel is a trial attorney turned Licensed Clinical Social Worker (here in Charlotte, NC) . . . so she has a unique background of psychology and law. She describes herself as a chronic high-achiever, and has first hand-experience with feelings of overwhelm, burnout, confusion, and lack of purpose.

Shital has training, expertise, and clinical experience working with clients with emotional and behavioral concerns, such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and trauma symptoms. (Eating disorders or disordered eating can include Binge Eating Disorder, compulsive overeating, emotional overeating, restricting, negative body image.)
