Our brains will keep doing what it has practiced doing until we decide to intentionally challenge it with something different. Sometimes we decide to change our circumstances because we think it will make us feel better. Sometimes that will bring up new thoughts and those thoughts will lead to positive emotion. BUT, often those feelings are short lived if we haven't taken the time to first address the original thoughts or beliefs that caused our negative emotions to begin with.
Changing our circumstances in our surroundings is one way to approach our feelings and the other is to recognize that our thoughts have the ultimate power here. 

I share with you one of my specific examples, and I hope it is an opportunity for you to also take a deeper look into your own situation.
