In this episode I catch up with Naturopath Jules Galloway to talk about how to support your body through recovery.   Jules is an incredible healer and also the host of the podcast Straight Talking Natural Health, she has an amazing story coming from homelessness from 16 years of age, to make ends meet she worked as a stripper and later a show girl.  A series of poor lifestyle choices left Jules's body in bad shape and she sought out the help of a friend studying naturopathy to help her heal her body.  This started her own love affair with natural health and healing.   In this episode we chat about all things health.  The dreaded after grog bog and what that can teach you about your gut health and signs of inflammation.
How alcohol effects your gut  and thus  interferes with nutrient uptake of  vitamins like zinc, vit c, b vitamins and other nutrients.  How alcohol causes you to lose collagen in your skin and can make us look a bit er..."hagsy".
Managing sugar cravings.  The connection between gut health and blood sugar balance.
Supporting your liver with herbs.  The healing power of sleep.  Mental health and gut connection and so much more.

If you are struggling with physical dependancy on alcohol consider contacting a local AA meeting or a drug and alcohol therapist.   Always consult a GP before stopping alcohol.
