"Who would like to get together to celebrate the February birthdays?" I wrote in a Whatsapp message to my husband's family.
I've taken upon myself the job to organize the family to get together on a regular basis for holidays and birthdays.
I sent out that specific message having in mind my son who was turning 7 at the time and honoring his wish to celebrate with the family.
I really didn't expect anything other than, "Yes, let us know when and we'll be there!"
So you can imagine how stunned I was when, instead of responding with a "yes," one of my brothers-in-law sent out another invite to celebrate his son's birthday (without "allowing" the other February birthdays to celebrate with him, including my 7-year-old son.)
What would you have done?
(I received permission from my brother-in-law to share this story.)
Tune in to hear how I got myself unstuck and see if my process may inspire you to get unstuck in your life.
