Many people grieve loss around relationships or a loved one, but what about a passion, like a successful athletic career? Kristen Feemster is a former college athlete and experienced the NCAA basketball tournament her junior year. After competing in such a monumental tournament and training intensely for the sport throughout college, Kristen didn’t know how to handle the “real world”, so she turned to what many of her peers did to self-soothe: alcohol. On this week’s podcast Kristen shares her story of grief, adapting to life after college basketball, and the road to recovery from her alcohol addiction. Kristen is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, certified personal trainer, and the founder of B3 based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.
