Come now,

Deep into your breath.

Hearing nothing but its ventilated hums,

As they harmonize with the sweet crashes of the raindrops. 

PAUSE…

Stay here,

Present to this rhythm.

This soothing melody of calm,

Slowing you down,

And relaxing you into presence. 

PAUSE…

In,

And out.

In,

And out.

LONG PAUSE…

All the movement and thoughts of the day vibrate on your skin. 

Little sparks of energy still wanting your attention,

Wanting you to keep moving,

To keep thinking,

To keep doing,

So they can continue to buzz and play. 

PAUSE…

Breathe…

And instead,

Let the gentle rain wash them away.

PAUSE...

Let each raindrop wipe your skin clean,

And release you from the buzzing on your skin.

Release you from the thoughts,

Release you from the noise,

Release you from anything that isn’t here and now.

PAUSE…

Feel the tiny drops of water come down upon you,

And land upon the crown of your head,

Your eyes,

Cheeks,

And neck. 

PAUSE…

Feel the gentle drops of rain fall upon your chest,

Down your arms,

Along the expanse of your back,

And onto your belly.

PAUSE…

Let those cleansing raindrops fall upon your hips,

Your legs,

And down to your feet.

PAUSE…

Be one with the rain,

The comforting, rhythmic healer all around you.

So you can be here,

Released from thoughts,

And one with the stillness inside.
