Welcome to Woman Leadership show. I'm Janet and in this episode, I will be sharing with you how I used to care about what others think of me.
- School - when there is someone and I hear things about me being fake, I would be affected but will still be friendly to them keeping the likeable person of mine hoping they change their perception about me
- - I would also find out what is it they want to see me improve

Work – I am sensitive about what my bosses, colleagues or peers said about me. I would have sleepless nights, cried or even wanted to avoid the person or quit my job so I do not need to see the person again.

Avoidance is not the solution, I realized it is not about me anymore. It is often about what they believe and issues with themselves. They also have baggages and lots going on in their lives so they like to comment or shout and talk down.

Takeaway

- Due to low self esteem and lack of confidence, I was afraid to speak up and offend others especially when they are senior or much richer than me
- They are as normal as me when they shared their fears and loneliness and also human like us.
- At the end of the day we all will go back to soil so what makes one more superior than others.
- Get surrounded with positive and supportive close group who will not judge you and have your back whenever you need them. They will be there to challenge you to get out of your comfort zone and be better in what you are doing. For me, I have friends, colleagues, bosses, coaches and mentors who challenged me to unleash my potential and think out of the box often. One thing I have also learned is if I am going to do the same thing expecting the same result, it will not works. I have to think out of the box , be more creative and not letting myself confine to what have been done but what can I do better to improve.
