Staying healthy is not only being physically fit, but it's being mentally fit as well. So, what does it mean to be physically and mentally fit?

First and foremost,  we need to be in the present moment . We spend so much time in the past and so much time in the future and not enough time here and now.

Here are three tips on how to stay mentally fit:

1 - Having gratitude. Reminding yourself why everything you're doing is so important and embracing the feeling of thankfulness really resets you and motivates you to keep going.

2- Meditation and deep breathing. These practices can help with calming the elevating, your heart rate, relaxation and relieving tension. Take a moment each day to close your eyes and breathe as deeply and slowly as you can.

3 - Yoga. Yoga practices, great breathing and stretching techniques that destress and relax, all while incorporating fitness and exercise.

Being mentally fit is just as important as being physically fit. Trying these small fitness tips is a great way to improve your mental fitness.
