– How to stop the insane thoughts of ego, so it doesn’t drown our spirit –

Have you ever looked for some sense of peace in your life, and wondered why there’s just nothing but frustration? Or have you ever wondered why life just seems more difficult that it needs to be? We can chalk this up tothe “dreaded” ego, and how the insane thoughts of our negative mind can topple us over. So how do we get UNstuck from ego-thinking?

This is the topic we love to hate … and that’s the topic of ego. Ego by any other name is self-sabotage, and until we learn to overcome it… or what’s more accurate… until we learn how to use it to our benefit, life can be a bumpy road.

Some people say there are only two emotions – love and fear. We could just as easily call it love and ego. It’s curious how they can be in direct proportion to each other… if you feel like you’re battling with tremendous negative thinking, that means there’s tremendous positive thinking there, too! Surprised?

Our ego is known a saboteur… it’s resistance… even though it poses as our best friend. We filter all our experiences through our ego-thinking. Our ego mind decides if things are for our benefit, or not for our benefit. This is actually good, healthy discernment IF we know how to use it and not allow ourselves to be trapped by it.

When we look at our life experiences through the filter of ego, it’s showing us the difference between what we want, and what we don’t want. And this is really a beautiful way to USE ego- thinking. Because in seeing that contrast, we can better identify what we do want to create. If we’re unable to discern our creative thinking from our ego-thinking, ego will take over and make things much more difficult than they need to be.

By using the powers of discernment, and not falling down that rabbit hole, we’ll see that ego is trying to get us to get creative. It’s not trying to throw us into the depths of despair … but we can definitely end up there if we don’t use this process to identify what we DO want to create, and stay focused on that.

So we want to proactively place our thoughts with a higher, creative vibration and not fall prey to our negative thinking. Ego is simply trying to get us to be a creator. It’s trying to get us to USE positive energies to create transformation. This is where we find the magic of alchemy … in looking at what we don’t want with the purpose of identifying and creating what we do want!
