For a long time, I didn't know how to speak up against racism but this week was a week of firsts for me. It was the first time I went out to join a protest and march and it was the first time I took a stand against racism on a blog post. I understand for many this may not be easy and it may be uncomfortable. You may think yes, I don't agree with what is happening but it's too big or there's nothing I can do or it's an "American problem" or you simply feel afraid. In this episode, I just wanted to share two things with you; 1. how I felt as a first-timer on the streets protesting, and 2. my blog post where I stood up against racism for the first time. I hope you will find some inspiration to also stand up and speak up in your own ways. It doesn't have to be the same, it doesn't have to be like everyone else, but it cannot be doing nothing and it cannot be silence.
