Susanne Gervay is kid literature author known all over the world. She was awarded the Order of Australia for her books that tackle tough issues like bullying, disability, cancer and more. She is a 3 time breast cancer survivor herself and her parents were Holocaust survivors who fled Hungary as refugees to make a home in Australia. She is a Regional Advisor for Society of Childrens' Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) - largest children's writers and illustrators organization in the world and she is also a committee member for Books in Homes which has distributed more than 2 mill books to indigenous and disadvantaged Australian Children.
