Michele shares her anxieties about awaiting election results. She discusses cancel culture and how sometimes social media helps her feel more connected to people, especially when oversharing.

Today’s guest is Sophie Boudreau, a comedy writer and recent finalist for the NBC Late Night Writers Workshop. Sophie tells Michele that she’s recently been diagnosed with shingles- an unpopular virus these days! She’s also embraced Zoom therapy since lockdown began. Sophie tells us her philosophy on telling poop jokes and that she’s worried about getting “cancelled” for saying the wrong thing on Twitter and her prior social media regrets. The ladies bond over writing sad poems when they were younger and how cringey they are to look back at now. They talk about how hard it is to set your own time limits with social media. They discuss their anxieties and hopes about the US presidential election. Sophie tells us that she’s grateful to have both made new friends and strengthened old friendships during the pandemic.
