In this episode, I chat with  2016 Grey Cup Champion Alex Mateas. Alex is a CFL offensive lineman for the Ottawa Redblacks, a 2x Tom pate award nominee, 2x East All-star, first overall pick in the 2015 CFL draft, and of course part of Ottawa's 2016 Grey Cup Championship winning team. Alex was Born and raised in Ottawa, with 2 sisters and was able to play high level: Basketball, Soccer, Football and even participated in the Junior Canadian Weightlifting Championship. Football ended up taking priority as he went on to play college football at the University of Connecticut before playing in the CFL.

While he still has a few more years on his contract, Alex is now also part of the sales team at Cushman & Wakefield and credits the local community as an instrumental part of his growth and success and takes advantage of every opportunity to give back to his community and the City of Ottawa. In this episode we discuss,

His journey to the CFL
The importance of little things
Body language
Speaking up for your dreams
Planning ahead
How he learns new things
And much more
