Today, I’m excited to be joined by Dr Leila Dehghan.

Leila is a medical doctor turned sports nutritionist and personal trainer. She’s passionate about helping people live active lifestyles and fuelling with the right foods to live a happy, healthy life.

Today’s episode is all about protein - an area of nutrition that gets a lot of focus and seems to be a macronutrient around which there is a lot of confusion.

I ask Leila to help us understand - what is protein? What role does it play in our health and in an active lifestyle? How much protein do we need? Where can we get protein from? What are her thoughts on low-carb/high-protein diets? And much, much more.

This is a really interesting episode that I hope gives you lots of practical takeaways and helps ease any concerns you may have about protein.

Enjoy the episode!

* If you are thinking about changing your diet, always consult with your doctor or other healthcare provider.
