Tabor Church

824 episodes - English - Latest episode: 11 months ago - ★★★★ - 4 ratings

Tabor Church is a church in the great city of Chicago. We live in a busy time and we want to help equip and encourage fellow Christ followers. Our goal is to have two different types of podcasts: one will be a quick devotion style for those who want a quick word to start or end their day...or anywhere in between. The second kind of podcast we will offer is an interview style conversation with people in different sectors of life that are learning to live out their faith. This will encourage each of us to find value in our everyday work and the people God puts in front of us.

2 Bearded White Dudes talking about Race and Racism

June 04, 2020 20:00 - 1 hour - 46.1 MB

Today I have Steve Kowbel back on the show to help process the things that are happening right now. So, why now? Why 2 white dudes? For centuries white guys have benefitted from a system that has put a higher priority in what we thought and how our lives are affected. It is not a system that has been for people of color.  This episode is not 5 min- it is an hour long because there is a lot to pour through. We see all the negative press with churches trying to fight back and fight for "our" rights. But, what if Jesus has a better way?
