Tabor Church is a church in the great city of Chicago. We live in a busy time and we want to help equip and encourage fellow Christ followers. Our goal is to have two different types of podcasts: one will be a quick devotion style for those who want a quick word to start or end their day...or anywhere in between. The second kind of podcast we will offer is an interview style conversation with people in different sectors of life that are learning to live out their faith. This will encourage each of us to find value in our everyday work and the people God puts in front of us.

Easter Means No Fear In Death

April 15, 2020 16:00 - 5 minutes - 3.72 MB

Today we are talking about everyone's favorite subject...death. Okay, maybe not. Death is in the top 5 fears of all Americans. Easter, Jesus' resurrection, has something to say about death. Today Heather and I are going to talk about sports. Heather has never held this as an idol but I think there are many out there who are not holding this correctly. Pastor Phil has had a problem with this in the past. If my team wins, all is good, but if they lose then it effects the rest of the day or even more. Busyness can become our identity and we can be afraid of being called lazy because it challenges our self-image. When we are busy we miss out on all the moments that God wants us to cherish.
