Hello Language Lovers! Thank you for joining me for this episode of Speaking Tongues- the podcast in conversation with multilinguals. Today, I’m speaking with Salvatore about his native Napolitano and the language he’s studying in school, Mandarin Chinese.

Salvatore speaks so many languages and is a member of the Hyper Polyglot Association and he tells us a bit about almost all of the languages he speaks. In this episode, he shares his tips for self studying and how he likes to try out so many different languages. We talk about life in Naples,  languages that he commonly heard growing up there and he tells us how to understand some differences between Neapolitan and Italian. He also tells us about the way he was taught Mandarin and how he’s been able to approach learning the language. And just for fun, Salvatore, whose nickname is “Mr. Unicef” tells us what his favorite languages are.

Big thank you to Salvatore for this conversation and for sharing pieces of your world with us.
