Today I’m talking with Nadia and this is my third episode talking about Sicilian. If you notice and listen to each of the episodes, all three of my guests have had different perspectives on the Sicilian language. This is one thing I love about this show is that no matter how many times we talk about one language, we’ll always have different stories to share our experiences.

In talking with Nadia today, she tells me about Sicilian spoken in Agrigento, her experience with Italians living in America, some movies and books that you could watch and read in order to start learning Sicilian and she even gave us a piece of trivia. Find out what Sicilian phrase was mistaken for Chinese in another part of Italy? And do you know that there is one ethnic religious minority that has a population outside of Palermo? Find out more about them and what food they’re famous for in this episode.

As always, you can find more information about the topics we discuss in this episode by clicking the links in the show notes. Big thank you to Nadia for having this conversation with me and sharing bits of Sicilian culture with all of us. This might be the last episode we have in Italian for a while so big thank you to all of you listeners for bearing with me and my obsession with Sicily.
