25. Speaking Cantonese, French & Portuguese

Welcome back to another episode of Speaking Tongues. Today  I’m speaking with Acacia, the founder of Ethnic Ties, a travel company specializing in pre-departure preparation so you can have an authentic and comfortable travel experience. But that’s just one role that this entrepreneur has. She also hosts language meetups and she’s developing a Black Travel App which she’ll tell us more about in the episode.

One thing that I think is really cool about Acacia’s language journey is how she has been able to connect with her heritage language and the languages that she’s studied through conscious travel. I think lots of people would be content to travel mostly for fun and for their own recreation but Acacia explains to us how important it is for her to select destinations where there is a possibility of making an impact!
