Paul is joined by Leah Morgan for the second of a two-part episode which is a very poignant one. Leah shares some experiences and lessons she and her family have been through since she tragically lost her daughter to leukaemia.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Maggie has had this almighty ripple effect and, a bit like water, it can be gentle as it trickles down a stream but over time the power of that gentle persistent flow can break down rock.
I really hope that little Maggie has put my son Mason, who is 21 and at uni, on a life’s course where it’s not all about money and how to accrue things. I hope that his idea of wealth and what he’s going to do with these amazing years of his life is about living fully and going into a career that lights him up because he knows how precious life is.
The impacts it had on my relationships with my children and friends, some people fall away because they can’t manage or don’t know what to do, but there are some that really step forward. That’s wealth, our energy should be conserved for those relationships.
In relationships it’s give and take, we support and we are supported, when I think of myself as the supporter on the side lines for my husband and my three living children my role is to remind them of the meaning of life and was it and what’s not important when they’re feeling bogged down, or connect to the joy in life and what really matter so they grow up into people that value joy and experience rather than money that’s in their bank account.

BEST MOMENTS

‘I lost Maggie physically, but I haven’t lost Maggie in terms of my life. I've learned how to integrate my experiences into her ‘new’ self who I’ve brought forward in a healthy way to connect with her legacy and her lessons.’

‘Lock-down really gave us the push to move and me and my husband thought, there’s a whole world out there, let’s go and explore something new, go and heal and find peace in the woods and by the sea in Dorset.’

‘Dad’s can get lost into the conversations around pregnancy loss and stillbirth. We have to bring their voices in too.’

‘Maggie has taught me the meaning of life, the meaning of loving fully.’
