Resilience is about knowing your capacity and keeping yourself safe. But, it’s much more broad than that. Join Helena Lucia as she talks about being grounded. Not only is “being grounded” one of the definitions of resilience, it’s also a tool that you can use to support resilience.

My pronouns are she/her and here is my bio.

Helena Lucia is the founder of SISU Journey podcast and community, fostering collective healing through storytelling. She is a resilience and nervous system coach and believes the next wave of the pandemic will be a mental health crisis, from which nervous system regulation is the fundamental piece of the puzzle needed for healing. She supports her clients without shame to begin to reclaim, honor, and believe their bodies, intuition, and innate intelligence.

Helena was born and raised in Laestadianism (Lest-ah-dee-uh-nism), a fundamentalist sect that arose in the 19th c. among Indigenous Sámi and Tornedalen Finns, in resistance to Nordic colonialism and the systematic erasure of their history, languages, and traditions. Through story, music, and ritual, she strives to honor her ancestors and their resilience.

Can you imagine how connecting to the identity of an athlete is way more juicy and magical than setting a process goal of going to the gym x number of times a week?
