In this episode of the SISU Journey podcast, Sam Goldfinch talks about finding what’s right for you. It wasn’t an easy journey attaining genuine freedom from his anxiety. How was he able to distinguish what brought him pleasure and what brought him joy? Is there a difference between the two? Stay tuned!

Here are the things to expect in this episode:

Growing up with undiagnosed OCD. Associating freedom with smoking and drinking. There’s always anxiety when you go outside your comfort zone. How meditation and learning the “power of now” helped him. Starting a blog to share his journey and connecting with other people through it. Awareness always precedes change. And much more!

About Sam Goldfinch:

Pronouns: he/him

Sam is the founder of Sober Rebellion, a small sobriety coaching business with its roots in a community of alcohol-free rebels. Sam runs coaching programs with the mission of truly setting people free from alcohol addiction and habits that no longer serve them.

Sam discovered through his own experience with addiction that stopping drinking is often not enough, time alone does not heal the wound. On one occasion he made it to 19 months without any alcohol but still didn’t feel completely free. This led him back to drinking and the pain of feeling that no matter what he did, he simply could not win.

This experience led him on a 4-year journey of discovery, and through blogging, traveling and a number of different healing modalities, he found himself truly free of alcohol and loving life more than he ever had as a drinker. This inspired him to want to do the same for others in their own unique way.

Sam has completed life coaching certificates with the Coaching Academy, trained under Jolene park in ‘Grey area drinking’, and is currently training to be a ‘This Naked Mind’ Certified Coach.

Sam’s key mission is to help people move from surviving to thriving – without willpower or feeling like they are missing out.

Sam is also the co-host of the Present and Sober Podcast.
