In episode 29, I talk about the shame and guilt that is associated with taking time to rest. The limiting beliefs that run as thought loops in our minds without us even knowing, making us feel sad, guilty and ashamed to take time to play, nap, read and simply be still. We have to change this narrative for ourselves and for our society. Taking the necessary time to rest and recover is not lazy. It’s not something to be ashamed of. It doesn’t mean that you won’t get other things done. It doesn’t mean you will lose momentum. It’s slowing down to speed up. Honor your body and your energy. Take the time you need. Practice self-care regularly.
