Mick Stuart at one point, tipped the scales at 150kg - which he attributes to ‘the worst lifestyle ever’. He says he got a wake-up call when his relationship nearly fell apart and he was shopping in the ‘big boys section’ for clothing.

Mick started by walking up a hill by his house - each day, he was walking and running up the hill. He then integrated weights into his routine, and from there, he looked for more. Mick worked every day, and got his weight down to 94kg.

Now, he’s training for an Iron Man (3.9km swim, 180km bike, 42.2km run), regularly participates in ultra-beast (50km) obstacle courses, is a qualified trainer and last year, he did a 24-hour challenge where he did burpees, ran on a treadmill and rode the air-bike all with a blindfold on - for the entire 24 hours. There was no music or distractions, It was all to raise awareness and money for Mates for Mates - that helps people transition out of the Defence Force.

On this week's podcast, we speak to Mick about his journey to health and how he's now helping others.
