In this episode of the Psykhe podcast, we’re joined by author and advocate Tiffany Mensah.

Tiffany shares her experience of childhood domestic violence and how this led to childhood PTSD. Unfortunately, this wasn’t recognised at the time and there was support for her mother but not for her. Tiffany wrote about her experiences for an assignment and then continued to write producing a manuscript that would go on to become her book. Forgotten: Living in the shadows of domestic violence.

Tiffany is now an advocate raising awareness of the impact of domestic violence on children and how they can be supported. There are also many adults who have been through this experience and are not aware of the lasting impact that it has had and how to heal from it.
