Getting the most value from your gym membership doesn’t just mean having one.

In this podcast we discuss the coachable and un-coachable types of mindset when approaching gym training and how they directly carry over to life in general.

We both agree that we like saving good people some money as well as helping them get the most for their money, but it’s sad when money is lost on an unused gym membership(that often ties people into 12 month contract) and worse when a much needed health outcome is not achieved.

The difference is in embracing becoming the coachable client.

Much of the fitness industry will just entertain you with constantly varied exercises, a  tactic that is often used on un-coachable clients to get them to part with money but yet rarely leads to true progress.

We identify the different approach we take, and how it has benefitted the people we have trained once they have understood it, andhow much they then enjoy it as they start to see the progress coming which moves them to the true outcome they wanted from day one.

We explain the differences between being entertained by the fitness industry and being progressed by the right kind of training designed to be simple and effective.

A good coach can help you navigate just about anything in the gym and get you to your goals, and in this episode Mike and Byron unpack the individual traits between both mindsets and give guidance on being coachable, so that you can truly get the most from your time spent at the  gym and reap the benefits of your hard work.

By the end of the podcast you’ll know how to be accountable to not only yourself,  but also your coach or team. How to avoid falling into the self sabotaging negative traps of the blame game, and how to embrace feedback and take ownership as you work towards the results you deserve.
