"Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways." - Sigmund Freud

The difference between emotional hunger and physical hunger.

We know that emotional hunger comes on suddenly it hits you in an instant. It feels overwhelming and urgent. Physical hunger, on the other hand, comes on more gradually.

Emotional hunger craves specific comfort foods.

And emotional hunger often leads to regret, guilt or shame.

Feeling our emotions is imperative, feeding our emotions is not and can be harmful to not just our body, but our mind, soul, and psyche as it distances us from our united emotional integrity and our mind and body connection.
