In session 20, "Remember to Breathe" Dustin Guinee leads meditators to return to the foundation of meditation practice, the breath. While focusing on the breath may sound simple it is anything but simplistic. Bringing our awareness to the breath, helps us quiet the mind while connecting with the body and there is plenty of science to back up the health benefits of a regular breathing practice, like meditation. In the guided meditation, Dustin guides meditators in practicing some different breathing techniques including: basic breath awareness, ocean's breath, breathing with head movements, 4x4 box breathing and Om mantra chanting. The session ends with Dustin's poem, "Remember to Breathe", inspired by the practice of returning to the breath to begin again in each moment and be fully present in the here and now.
