This week on episode 14 of our podcast "One Day You'll Thank Me", my teen-cohost (and daughter) and I are flying solo, and discussing virtual learning.

We are both deeply involved in virtually learning right now because Anna is 100% remote learning and with my work as a therapist, I have worked with dozens of families over the past month experiencing life virtual learning as well . We are discussing the top tips to make virtually learning as successful as possible for parents and kids.

Anna shares the perspective from a teenager that is virtually learning.

-We discuss the challenges that she is encountering, how she feels about all of it, what she does when she feels overwhelmed, and also some tips for kids when they feel confused with directions given by the teacher or questions about the material.

We also share and discuss 5 specific tips and strategies that can be implemented now at home, to help support the overall virtual learning experience.

- These include physical elements, taking breaks, how you as the parent interact with your kid during the school day, communicating with the teacher, etc.

I want to recognize that of course every child is different and impacted by many variables, even though we are giving some general recommendations for virtual learning, we know that each situation is very different. For extra support in these areas:
