300th Podcast!

For our 300th episode, I wanted to do something special and have the whole OMG team join me on the OMG show! Each person handles a different area of the business, so it was interesting to hear all of their takes on the questions that I had for them. We have Jesse, our Director of Operations and Technical Guru, along with Chloe, our Social Media Content Coordinator, and Andrew, our video expert (who also has a hand in the technical side).

I talked to them all about the growth that they’ve been able to see in the business over their time on the OMG Team and was surprised by some of the answers. The biggest changes have been the growth of the podcast and the growth of the team as a whole.

They also all shared the trends that they’ve been seeing in the online world. Jesse shared with us the trend that he’s been seeing lately, which is the growth of live streaming for both personal and business uses! Things like Twitch, Youtube Live, and Instagram Live are all things that are becoming more and more prominent in the business world as well. When it comes to social media, Chloe tells us the trends that she’s seeing such as the re-birth of engagement as an important tool to grow on almost all platforms. For a long time, you could grow without having to do a ton of interaction, but more recently Instagram and Facebook have been trending into more of a personalized approach when it comes to growing your following. Andrew also shared the trends that he’s seen in the video world, including the increasing presence of a more relaxed persona in popular videos when compared to a more scripted model.
