Many people think fasting works because it’s another form of calorie restriction, but this is not the case. Your body fuels itself differently with calorie restriction than it does with fasting. This difference is one of the reasons fasting is so effective at helping people lose fat, not just weight. In this episode, Krista describes the difference.
