120 -“Choosing a goal and sticking to it changes everything.” ~Scott Reed

We have been examining the ways to deal with ideas and actually act upon them to make a difference.

In show 118, we discovered that the time will never "be right"

In show 119, We discussed capture of the idea while it fresh in your mind.

Today's quote from Scott Reed shares:

“Choosing a goal and sticking to it changes everything.” ~Scott Reed

Prioritizing a goal among your to do list and stepping through the planning can be real challenge if you have not developed any structure to do it.

Graphic organizers can be a real benefit but are slow and bulky in today's world. One organizer that has been used often to add clarity to priorities is the Eisenhower matrix. You can find a link in the show notes to get a free version of this and use it if you wish.

I think the advantage of the Eisenhower matrix is that you are able to see organize material in a visible way that allows for quick processing. I generally keep mine visible in a monitor so that when I have completed a task, it is visible and allows me to see what is next. This is the "sticking to it" part of today's quote. Organizers become not only a planning tool, but a reference tool to avoid distractions or forgetting things.
