Welcome back to Make a Difference

We spoke about don't wait to get started with an idea in our last podcast. The time will never be right.

That leads to today's quote from Teddy Roosevelt that states:

Do what you can, where you are, with what you have.

No high quality idea is going to be able to thought through, designed and implemented in a single sitting. This often leads people to put it off because of the perception of "I don't have enough time".

Roosevelt's point has merit.

You may not have enough time to complete the idea, but let's unpack his process for consideration:

1. Do What You Can - at a minimum

Capture the idea and general thoughts while it is fresh in your mind. Write down the "why" you thought this was an important idea while the ideas is fresh and clear.

2. Where you are

There is no reason you cannot take 60 seconds to dictate your idea into your cell phone right where you are.

3. With What You Have

Capture the idea with a voice recording where you can speak in real time and sort out the details later. Capturing the idea on the go can be done with cell phones quickly. Dictate your self a text.

Another Track can be using the email address Trello offers that puts the dictation right into your cards to be sorted laster. Tell your phone to send an email to trello and speak your idea. Send and your done till you have time to work on it in more detail.
