In this episode, Cheryl and Guest discuss:

Making yourself somebody

Managing your reputation

Expanding your network

Why learning to negotiate is important

Key Takeaways:

Clients today want somebody they could trust and somebody who gives a quick response. They also want a broker who is essentially a “crystal ball” of knowledge when it comes to the real estate world.

Do a quick google search of your name, what you’ll find is what the client will see. Therefore, manage your reputation, especially if you are a branch manager. Go to google.com/alerts, and put your own name so that you’ll know what’s being said about you.

We’ve got to expand our network and get to know rockstars in our industry. We have to fill our circles with people that we know, love, and trust - people that we can ask questions about the industry.

Learning how to negotiate better is essential. Buyers and sellers want a fair deal, they want a confident agent, they want guidance, they want inventory to choose from and they want lower rates.

“We are not going to be good at what we do if we don't have the confidence to be able to go out there and make magic happen and get that first deal.”  —  Cheryl Knowlton
