Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr will be competing in the Rogue Intentional on October 27, a mere five months post-partum. It is an amazing feat of athleticism. However, it begs the question about how soon is too soon to return to fitness after having a baby.
If you follow Tia-Clair on social, you know she maintained a high level of fitness throughout her pregnancy. She may be an exception given her elite athlete status, but there is a lot to learn from her experience.
Maintaining fitness throughout all stages of your life, including pregnancy, is important. Women can start CrossFit when they are pregnant and they can continue doing CrossFit throughout their pregnancy. That's where expert coaching come in! We can adapt workouts to accommodate a changing body.
Perhaps most important of all is getting back to the gym as soon as possible after having a baby. Sticking to your fitness routine, even a modified one, will improve your mental and physical well-being.
We've got the wine, beer and Greg-isms! Take a listen.
