How many of you remember what it was like growing up with your parents?
What was dad's role?
What did mom do?
Were their jobs "defined" or did it seem fluid and ever changing?

If you were raised like many kids before the 90's, you probably had more of a "traditional" family.  Dad went to work and mainly worked whereas mom did most of the household tasks as well as getting kids to and from activities.  Was that you?

However, we now have merging parenting roles when it comes to mom and dad.  What technically IS the role of dad now?  What about mom?  And who the heck prepared us for this changing landscape??

Trying to balance being a parent as well as a physician is hard.  Yet, now that parenting roles have adjusted, how does that affect our stress and frustrations?

In today's episodes I discuss several articles looking at this very topic and how it may play a role in our every day stress and sense of burnout.  Listen in and let me know what you think!
