This week is the first week of Lent if you follow the Christian calendar.  I elected not to have a Wednesday episode in order to focus on my family this last week and attend Ash Wednesday service with them.  However, the lenten season is an important to recognize the things in life we with to make changes to.

Some of you listening to the show may not be familiar with Lent, and if not that is ok.  In the beginning of the episode I give a brief background of what Lent is and why it is so important on the Christian calendar.

Typically during Lent we decide the things we want to GIVE UP.  What are the bad tendencies and habits we do that we choose to rid ourselves from for the next 40 days?  Some people may look at this as the same way they look at New Years Resolutions.  We get all excited the first day, talk about all the changes we will make, only to find 3 weeks later that we are back in our old ways.  Why is that?

I think we tend to fall backward when the thing we are doing is REMOVING something from our lives.  That is HARD.  Not only that, usually removing something from our lives only affects one person - US.

But what if instead of removing something from your daily life, you ADDED something instead?  Find something positive you do for your spouse or your kids that you KNOW you should be doing but seems to have fallen to the back burner,

Listen in this week as I discuss these thoughts and more!
