In this podcast episode, I am promoting healthy relationships in regard to Domestic Violence Awareness Month. If you decide to leave a domestic violent situation, safety is the key. Always prepare for leaving safely. There is a national hotline you can call at 1-800-799-7233. There may also be resources in the area where you live. If you search for one in your area, always delete your browsing history. Safety is always a priority.
There's such a huge stigma about domestic violence among married people. It is not okay to stay in a violent relationship or marriage. Love does not hurt, oppress, manipulate, nor control. These are signs of an abuser. Abuse comes in many forms: spiritually, mentally, emotionally, verbally, and physically. NONE of it is okay.
