Jami Uretsky is a Concussion Advocate and has been in this field of work for the last ten years. After a terrible soccer accident, Jami’s 15-year-old daughter’s life was forever changed by a concussion. Jami found herself being a caregiver once again and saw her daughter miss out on some of the fundamental teenage years all of her peers were going through. In this episode, Jami shares what she wished she had learned sooner about this journey, some of the strategies – like functional neurology – that helped her daughter get better, and how she helped her competitive daughter refocus when she was recovering.
